YERKA 10 Seconds Challenge Rules

Contest Rules - "YERKA10SecondsChallenge" 2024

In Santiago de Chile, on July 3, 2024, YERKA Chile SPA, Unique Tax Role Number N°76.556.973-7, located at Marcel Duhaut 2949, office 705, Providencia, Santiago, Chile, hereinafter referred to as the "organizer" or the "company", has organized the following contest:

ARTICLE FIRST: Objective.-

With the aim of promoting safety and highlighting the innovative features of its bicycles, YERKA Chile SPA will carry out the "YERKA10SecondsChallenge" Contest, hereinafter referred to as the "CONTEST", whose terms and conditions are regulated in these rules.

ARTICLE SECOND: Eligibility.-

  • The contest is open to all individuals over 18 years of age attending Eurobike 2024.
  • Participants must register using the contest form to participate.
  • Employees of YERKA and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the contest.

ARTICLE THIRD: Registration.-

  • Participants must register in advance at the YERKA booth 8.0 B-39 (Start-Up Area) at Eurobike or on the website https://yerka.store/, which will redirect them to the registration form: https://forms.gle/4gv4daWHRraVSLqN7
  • Registration is free and will be open until Sunday, July 7 inclusive.
  • The contest will take place on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7, 2024.

ARTICLE FOURTH: Contest Mechanics.-

Each participant will compete individually and only once.

Participants will stand in front of a YERKA bicycle with the anti-theft lock in bike mode and a digital stopwatch system.

Upon pressing the stopwatch button, participants must secure the bicycle using the integrated anti-theft lock on the frame. The time will end when the participant presses the "STOP" button.

A YERKA staff member will record the time of each participant.

The maximum time to secure the bicycle will be 10 seconds.

ARTICLE FIFTH: Evaluation Criteria.-

The speed and accuracy with which the participant secures the bicycle will be the main evaluation criteria.

ARTICLE SEVENTH: Prizes.-

Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third places, which may include items such as t-shirts, caps, stickers, or other promotional products from the YERKA brand present during the Eurobike 2024 event.

Exclusive First Place Prize: The first place will be registered along with the next winners in the "YERKA10SecondsChallenge" to be held during the current year.

A draw for a YERKA electric bike will be held for the top winners of all fairs in which YERKA BIKES participates with the "YERKA10SecondsChallenge" once the 2024 contests are completed. In case of winning the draw, the winner will receive the product once it is available on the market. Shipping costs are borne by the winner through their nearest store or distributor. In the event of not having a distributor in the winner's country of residence, they will be responsible for the shipping and import costs of the prize.

ARTICLE EIGHTH: Image Rights.-

By participating in the contest, participants agree that YERKA may use their image and name for promotional purposes related to the contest on all its social networks, websites, and press.

ARTICLE NINTH: Final Provisions.-

Authorizations: Individuals participating in the contest authorize the organizer in a non-exclusive manner to publish their full name, national identity card number with the last digit and verifier digit unknown, photographs, and/or videos in the media that the organizer deems appropriate, within the territory of Chile or another country, solely for the purposes of this contest and for a period not exceeding one year from the delivery of the respective prize. Likewise, in case of proceeding according to the mechanics of the contest, winners must assign the patrimonial rights of the intellectual works created on the occasion of the contest. In both cases, the prize will also be understood as the consideration for the preceding authorizations and eventual assignment of patrimonial rights.

Modifications: Whenever it does not involve a substantial alteration of the contest, the Organizer may modify its duration, place and dates of the draw, prizes, and other characteristics and conditions thereof, which will be communicated in a timely manner through the same system to advertise these rules.

Reserve of actions: The organizer reserves the right to take legal action if irregularities are detected during the contest, such as falsification or alteration of data and/or documents.

 

ARTICLE TENTH: Waiver of Liability for Accidents.-

Participants in the "YERKA10SecondsChallenge" contest acknowledge and accept that their participation in this event involves certain inherent risks, including, but not limited to, risks of personal injury, property damage, and other damages. Therefore, by participating in the contest, participants release YERKA Chile SPA and its directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any liability, claim, demand, action, damages, losses, costs, and expenses that may arise directly or indirectly from their participation in the contest.

Participants understand and agree that YERKA Chile SPA will not be liable for any accident, injury, or damage that may occur during the course of the contest, whether caused by negligence of YERKA Chile SPA, its employees, agents, or representatives, or otherwise.

By participating in the "YERKA10SecondsChallenge" contest, participants acknowledge that they have fully read, understood, and accepted the terms and conditions of this waiver of liability, and waive any rights or recourse they may have against YERKA Chile SPA in relation to any accident, injury, or damage that may occur during the contest.

Participants also agree to comply with all safety rules and regulations established by YERKA Chile SPA during the contest, and understand that failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from the contest.

This waiver of liability shall be binding upon the participants of the contest, as well as their heirs, legal representatives, and assigns.
